Popis
Zajímavosti a narážky
- Chuck has a movie poster of Tron, a Disney sci-fi picture about a software engineer abducted into a computer world.
- Chuck has a poster of the Alfred Hitchcock film North by Northwest. In the film, Cary Grant’s character is a New York advertising executive whom foreign spies mistake for a government agent.
- The posters inside the club where Chuck goes to see Foreign Born include Crimson by Alkaline Trio, Crisis by Alexisonfire and a Dashboard Confessional poster.
- When the camera pans on Casey as Chuck and Sarah are walking to the club, Casey cocks his gun but there is no clip in it.
- The post-it note is at a slight angle and covers up the Apple logo, however after the Intersect is downloaded into Chuck’s brain and he wakes up the post-it note moves to uncover the logo and is now straight.
- The contact list in Bryce Larkin’s Blackberry shows: Zulu Seven, Chino Casino, Jill, Little Longhorn, Red Dawn, Early Mourn, The Unholy One, Florence H, Kooks Allied, Sarah Y, Benjamin K, Tango Five, Orange Corruption, Alpha Two, The Bandage, Tired Camel, Delta Charlie, Cracker Bits, Swiss Cheese, Zulu Commander, Terrence B, Deadly Forest, Robin Egg, Hairy Chicken, Beta Charlie Four, Jester Court, Victor Nine, & Buckles.
- Dropping a computer wouldn’t severely damage a computer hard drive. At worst, it would damage the mechanical linkages inside the drive, but the physical damage wouldn’t affect the data stored on the platters. The CIA/NSA would easily be able to recover data from the damaged drive.
- The courtyard outside Chuck’s place looks very similar to the one used for Giles’s place in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- When Sarah is pursuing Chuck in the hotel lobby through the small pond we can clearly see that after Sarah passes the pond she is wearing flat, maybe rubber, black boots, when in fact she was wearing high heeled boots in the scene before and in the scene after.
- The ninja who is stealing the laptop is clearly a man’s figure, not a woman, as it is supposed to be Sarah.
- When Chuck goes to buy new locks at "LargeMart" he sees Vuc Andric and has a flash where he sees Andric’s passport. On the passport it says that Vuc’s place of birth is Belgrad, Serbia but the passport is Croatian.
- On the passport it says he was born on 06/10/1980 but the personal number says he was born on 06/10/1932.
- Chuck’s footwear of choice are Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars, most commonly referred to simply as "Chucks".
- In the scene where Sarah is driving the Nerd Herd car backwards to escape from John Casey there is a continuity error. After the car has been hit, the front tag hangs by only one bolt. The second time they show the tag it has both screws and is securely fastened to the bumper. The third time they show the bumper it’s back to hanging by only one screw.
- The post-it on Chuck’s monitor says "I’m a professional nerd".
- The video game Chuck and Morgan are playing is Gears of War a third person shooter for the Xbox 360.
- Chuck and Sarah are seen having to walk to the bar, but when they leave, the Nerd Herd car is parked right in front of the bar for them.
- Chuck: Do me a favor and stay off the five, okay, because the cops are in a phased deployment.
- Morgan: Okay. Thanks for the tip, Ponch!
- "Ponch" was the nickname of Frank Poncharello, the highway patrolman famously played by Erik Estrada on seventies police action-drama CHiPs.
- Zork is a reference to a real computer game which was one of the first interactive fiction computer games.
- In the scene where agent Bryce is trying to evade capture before his death, he uses free running or "parkour" to escape. This is new trend of extreme sports started in France and is seen most notably in the film, District B13.
- As Chuck is walking in the Costco like store when he turns the corner you can see a pallet of astro diapers. Most likely an allusion to the astronaut who drove a long time to go to a romantic rivals house in astronaut diapers.
- The Nerd Herd at the Buy More (the store at which Chuck is employed), is an obvious allusion to the real life Geek Squad at Best Buy.
